15th Street and E Street NW
E Street is the southmost of the series of Yield to Pedestrian signs along 15th Street from the Whitehouse heading south to the Washington Monument and the Mall.
Interestingly, the condition of the signs deteriorates as we move south from the Whitehouse. The sign up by Pennsylvania Avenue at 15th Street is pretty nice. By the time we get down to E Street, they are much more noticeably battered and beaten. Even more fascinating is that this is an area that is always crawling with cops: D.C. Police, Park Police, Secret Service. I wonder if any of them ever witness the brutality against the Yield signs.
